Best Accessibility Hack
The best hack focused on solving accessibility problems affecting marginalized communities. Each member wins a pair of Sony headphones.
Design a radical, data driven, intuitive helpdesk platform. Think 2050, not 2025; what would the user experience and software driven intuition look like? The team will win $2000 and guaranteed interviews.
Best use of Google Cloud
Build your hackathon project with a suite of secure storage, powerful compute, and integrated data analytics products provided by Google Cloud. See full list of products here: g.co/cloud. Each winning team member will receive a Google Home Mini.
Best use of Watson NLU API. A good submission will make excellent use of the API’s features, such as effective use of sentimental analysis and emotion, or high-level concept detection for example. Creative use of custom models and applications will also be looked at. Evaluations will be judged on how well and creative these features are used in the hack. You will also be judged by how interesting the inherent idea for the hack is. Each team member will be awarded a drone. Create a business model that supports your hack. Submit a Business Model Canvas (template at http://go.ivey.ca/BMC) Prepare and present a 5 min pitch describing your business. Each team member will be awarded with a $100 Amazon Giftcard
Best Social Good hack. The winning team gets 2 Xboxes and 2 Microsoft wireless surface headphones.
Novartis “Trust with Society” Prize: Whether it’s reimagining the way we work with AI assistants, or reimagining medicine with gene therapy, society trusts us to tackle global health challenges. The team whose hack can be accessible to the most people/countries, will be awarded with an interview with HR for an internship opportunity and a chance to reverse mentor our senior leadership team.

Create a hack using MongoDB Atlas to host a database in the cloud! Automate the provisioning and deployment process with ease, while focusing all your efforts on your hack. Projects built using MongoDB Atlas will be eligible to win an AirCharge Plus per team member.
Best Domain Name from Domain.com
Register a domain using Domain.com during the weekend. Each team may submit one entry per person on the team. Each winning team member will receive a Domain.com branded backpack.

If you applied to McHacks 7, received an acceptance and also confirmed your attendance, you are eligible to attend McHacks.
If you attended and participated at McHacks 7, then you are eligible to make a submission. Each team must consist of no more than 4 participants.
You must include videos, photos, or screenshots of the working product and a link to the source code (GitHub, etc.) of your project.
